Update in the Beauty Department

It’s so hard to find the right beauty products these days. I really do think it’s because there is an over-abundance all over Instagram of different products. I honestly have been feeling so overwhelmed and a bit lost.

I’ve been an Influenster member which has really helped me try products that I normally wouldn’t pick up. So it’s really helped me keep an open mind when it comes to beauty products.

I decided to write this post because I’ve finally found products that are now my go-to, and also ordered a few things that I’m excited to try.

New Favorites & New Additions

So things I’ve purchased and can’t wait to try are the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit and the Milani Eye Tech Eyeliner. I’ve heard so much about the Glow Kit, and most negative reviews said it was too glittery – which I honestly don’t mind. Bring on the glitter!

My go-to liquid eyeliner has always been the Maybelline Studio Master Precise Liquid Liner, but I wanted to try something different so I got the Milani Eye Tech Eyeliner. I’ve heard so many beauty blogger rave about Milani as a brand so I decided to give this a try. It was also the most unique one in the makeup aisle, so I couldn’t leave without it.

One product that Farah Dhukai on Instagram recommended was the Loreal Voluminous Superstar Mascara. I’ve tried the other Voluminous mascaras a long time ago and completely forgot about them then I was reintroduced to them courtesy of Influenster a couple of months ago. So when I saw that Farah repeatedly used the superstar version in her videos, I knew I had to try. It’s now my go-to mascara probably for life. I just bought it this week, so had to share.

I’ve seen the Maybelline Fit Me foundation all over the beauty blog scene and also my sister-in-law said she had tried it and loved it. It is the PERFECT foundation to pull off a dewy look and goes on so flawlessly. The price also sealed the deal for me. I just bought my second bottle. I also bought the concealer because after experiencing the foundation, I couldn’t just not try it. I like it too and also just bought my second.

The last three products by E.l.f I tried courtesy of Influenster are my absolute favorites. Not only because the prices are affordable, but you’re getting so much more for your money. The primer is the perfect base for dry or normal skin, I’m not too sure about oily skin. That lip exfoliator is a must have for people, like me, who have crazy chapped lips all the time. Last, but not least, that highlighter is EVERYTHING. I didn’t think it would be that great, but seriously, you need to go out and buy it now. I first thought I needed a liquid highlight before applying it, but I tried it all on its own and it’s just as good. I included the full box from Influenster below. This box was sent to me for free by Influenster in exchange for my honest opinion.

So that’s my little product round-up. Not a makeup artist, or trying to be one. Just wanted to share because in a time of over-sharing, sometimes you just need someone to lay it all out for you.
