Satin & Velvet

I’ve been trying to balance my time between working full-time and keeping up with this blog. I’m slowly getting into a rhythm with the help of my amazing photographer aka my husband.

I remember when I first started this blog I struggled to come up with my own photos. I had all of these ideas for content, but couldn’t find the time or means to take my own photos. I started using Polyvore (which I still do) and that was a huge help.

Enough of that though, let me talk a little bit about this bronze-pink satin and chiffon duster I purchased from Missguided.

This to me, minus the sheer arms, is a modest fashion staple. The length is just unbeatable AND it can be thrown over almost any outfit and is instantly elevated.

One thing I have to warn you about is that people may think you’re walking out with a robe, but just do what I do and tell them they don’t know fashion (that’s a dig at my husband).

Another item I have to talk about is this velvet printed pair of leggings. I thought they were a great addition to this look as everything consisted of solid colors. These particular leggings are difficult to wear because they are actually sheer. I wore stockings underneath to make them appear opaque, which I think worked out perfectly.

To wrap up, those two items were my first purchases from Missguided and I’m happy to say I would shop there again. Their sales especially are gold. If you haven’t shopped with them before, definitely try them out!
